Our partners are extremely important and valuable to us. Without them, we wouldn't exist.
We nurture our relationship with our partners and buyers, making sure they're strong and everlasting.
Cofina, an Ecuadorian chocolate company, produces chocolate liquors, cacao powder, cacao nibs, and cacao butter.
They started when they saw a need to help the cacao industry by producing chocolate products more efficiently and allowing ease of access to remote areas farming cacao in Ecuador. This opened the door for small farmers and distributors.
Cofina's efforts have improved the living conditions of the farming communities through a social and economic environment. They promote fair trade, are sustainable, and produce non-GMO and non-allergenic products which align with their beliefs.
We chose to work with Cofina because we support their social responsibility efforts, we absolutely believe their products are of excellent quality and one of our founders grew up in the same neighbor as the founders of Cofina, making it a more personal and trusting relationship.
Hacienda SAN JOSÉ
Years of cultivating and traditions boasts in every bite. Hacienda San José chocolates have rich, creamy and textured flavors that compete with the best in the world. The premier location of the plantation produces very high quality cacao. The exquisite cacao comes from their farmed trinitario cacao trees, which is a hybrid between forastero and criollo cacao trees. Criollo is a extremely rare breed and is prone to diseases. The hybrid defends the cacao tree from diseases and blends the two cacao flavors to make a unique, yet superb taste.
San José won the Pepe de Oro award at the World Cacao Summit and for good reason.
Not only do they care about their farm and cacao, but their employees and community are seen as equal importance.
